Popcorn Cake
12 cups popped popcorn
1 stick salted butter
2 (10-ounce) bags miniature marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups M&M’s
1 cup salted peanuts
For garnish: candy melts and sprinkles
In a large bowl, place popcorn. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat butter, marshmallows, and vanilla in 30-second intervals on high until melted. Pour over popcorn, and stir. Add M&M’s and peanuts. Grease hands with baking oil spray and press mixture into a well-greased Bundt pan. Allow to stand for 10 minutes. Loosen edges, and turn onto plate. Drizzle with candy melts, and decorate with sprinkles.
Yield: 12-16 servings
Popcorn Balls
6 cups popped popcorn
½ stick salted butter
1 (10-ounce) bag miniature marshmallows
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 cup Skittles, Milk Duds, peanuts, M&M’s, peanut M&M’s, mini peanut butter cups, gummy worms, or gummy bears
In a large bowl, place popcorn. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat butter, marshmallows, and vanilla in 30-second intervals on high until melted. Pour over popcorn, and stir. Stir in choice of candies. Grease hands with baking oil spray and press mixture into balls. Roll each ball in chips.
Yield: 8 balls
S’mores Popcorn Balls
8 cups popped popcorn
½ stick salted butter
1 (10-ounce) bag miniature marshmallows
½ teaspoon vanilla
2 cups Teddy Grahams
1 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
In a large bowl, place popcorn. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat butter, marshmallows, and vanilla in 30-second intervals on high until melted. Pour over popcorn, and stir. Stir in Teddy Grahams. Grease hands with baking oil spray and press mixture into balls. Roll each ball in chips.
Yield: 8 balls
Caramel Popcorn Balls
12 cups popped popcorn
2 sticks butter
1 cup corn syrup
2¼ cups light brown sugar, packed
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
In a large bowl, place popcorn. In a saucepan over medium heat, add butter, syrup, and brown sugar, and bring to a boil. Keep bubbling over medium heat until temperature reaches 240 degrees on a candy thermometer. Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla, and boil for 1 minute. Pour over popcorn and stir until it starts to cool. Grease hands with baking oil spray and press mixture into balls.
Yield: 8-10 balls
