SWEET MILK POUND CAKE
3 cups cake flour, sifted
2½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
²?³ cup butter, softened
1¾ cups sugar
2 eggs
1½ teaspoons vanilla
1¼ cups milk
Confectioners’ sugar for dusting cake
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray pan with Baker’s Joy cooking oil spray. In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt, and set aside. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and vanilla; mix well. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture, and beating well after each addition. Continue beating for one minute. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes. If cake has an uneven surface, level with a sharp knife. Remove from pan; cool completely. Dust with confectioners’ sugar.
